Chennai Online March 24, 2007 Dharmapuri, March 24: A female elephant died on the banks of Chinnar river in Pennagaram forests on Friday, apparently because of old age, forest department officials said. The elephant was found in distress by residents of Pannappatti village, about 43 km from here, they said.
