Matia Garopara (Assam), July 7 : Wild elephants have reportedly wrecked homes and standing crops in Assam's Matia Garopara hamlet.
Villagers said that about 90 wild elephants spread havoc after entering the area from forests located on the Assam-Meghalaya border.
'At night, we are on duty on the streets. We have lot of problems. Our houses and gardens have been destroyed. We have problem for food,' said Nistu Marak, one of the victim.
