The three elephants Kaal Bhairav, Sita and her calf, Murgesan were brought to Jharkhand from Karnataka by the Forest department on March 27 to patrol the jungles and be part of the Safari at the Palamu tiger reserve.
Local mahouts are facing problem in giving directions to the elephants, as they only respond to commands in Kannada.
Hence, to solve the problem, the elephants are being taught Hindi and the local mahouts are being taught Kannada by the mahouts from Karnataka, as the elephants only understand Kannada.
