According to the Daily Mail, a keeper named Allen was trampled to death by an elephant at a zoo in Godyam, Klera Province, India, in retaliation for the abuse.

Allen was bathing the elephant. He used a stick to hit the elephant hard, trying to force it to sit down. Unexpectedly, Allen slipped so hard that he fell to the ground. When the elephant found him slipping, he sat on Allen in revenge and trampled on his skull.

Although another employee immediately came to the rescue and took him to hospital, doctors said that Allen had died on the spot.

It was reported that the elephant had wounds and was in a very violent mood. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
