Elephant runs amok, kills two mahouts in Kottayam | Manorama News
Two mahouts were killed by captive elephant which ran amok at Karukachal near kottayam on Thursday. The deceased have been identified as Gopinathan Nair and Kannan. The elephant was brought to load wooden logs from a residential compund at Champakkara.

Elephants should not be used and abused as they are being. They are incredibly intelligent and sensitive beings. Sir David Attenborough’s words are so true@ Humans are the worst species to have plagued the planet. We dominate 90% of the earth and we are not an important species. The planet would not miss us if we were to disappear, unlike anything else would be missed. I work in conservation and love all animals but elephants are my absolute passion! It breaks my heart knowing what humans do them.Making stupid ornaments from their body parts , especially their tusks. We are living through a mass extinction because of what we humans have done to the planet. We need to go do something serious about our over population problem. I could go on but don’t thing there is any point l.
